About :

Polina Yakovleva (she/her) is an Oakland based painter, printmaker and stained glass artist. She draws inspiration from the natural world and the serenity that is found when connecting with nature. Her work transmits that serenity, and aims to inspire the viewer to go out into the forest, the desert, the field, to experience and admire the natural world. Her artwork often combines landscape and portrait, addressing human beings’ impact on the natural world, and their place in it.

Polina is an environmentalist and embodies those values in her art practice. She seeks to reuse and re-purpose materials as much as possible, and many of her pieces are on reclaimed canvas, wood, fabric, or recycled /handmade paper.
